This is not my workdesk....
...thank heavens! I spent the weekend with my daughter and her family--- This is HER workdesk.... Seems about 15 minutes before Gwamma arrived at his house...my grandson, Cole, decided to craft a wee bit. He found a full bottle of black permanent ink and squirt it all over the table and then finished if off with a few pretty swirls green stickles. I think he is going to inherit his Gwamma's craftiness, don't you? ( Now to see if the ink comes out of the carpet....think little inky footprints here!) I think Cole learned the words "OFF LIMITS" this day....ahhh to be 2 years old! Make sure to go visit the whole crew at What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday!
I think the touch of green stickles with pools of black ink was just a stroke of genius! Oh his poor Mama!
Think I would be crying at this point if this was my desk....
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear about your daughter's mess. If it's Staz-on, you can get it off with 91% alcohol.
ReplyDeleteMissed you last week. Glad to know you are OK.
Oh my goodness....bless her heart! Let us know how it all 'comes out'!!!
ReplyDeleteWell I think he has real artistic tendencies!!
ReplyDeleteoh no, still it shows he has a creative side maybe!! lol, get a lock for the dooor!lol, have good day, sue,x
ReplyDeleteomg very creative indeed lol, get soe stazon cleaner onto it and some will come off...not sure about the carpet though.
ReplyDeleteOoops!! Good luck cleaning that up!
ReplyDeleteOh! oh! looks like someone had fun - and I guess someone else didn't!!
ReplyDeleteLuv Joanne xx
Oh no! I feel your pain, lol!
ReplyDeleteWOW! Can we call this a masterpiece? Hope it all cleans up ok :(
ReplyDeleteThis is one desk where you just look at it and directly want to walk away and hope that it was all a dream.
ReplyDeleteThis is a reason to keep your craftdoor locked!!!
I wish her all the luck with the cleaning up!!!

What an unbelievable MESS!!! LOL 20 yrs from now you'll look at this picture and laugh, but if that were my pretty table, I'd be crying my eyes out!! You MUST make a scrapbook page of this for future reference :)
ReplyDeleteLOL i first thought something happened to you, and your desk became a mess! LOL ... i remember 2 year old came to my place, with her mom who was my coworker back then, one day (Guam time). She found my markers and started to write on the floor, while we were chatting!! Something about the inks & little kids, i think!! LOL My case, it wasn't the PERMANENT ink! hyuuu...
ReplyDeleteIs it bad that I laugh when I see these pictures?? Cole is a real artist, the black ink goes perfet together with the green stickles. LOL
ReplyDeleteI hope your daughter can clear up the mess a bit. :)
Hugs,
Larissa
OH MY GOSH Sue a complete nightmare for your daughter but oh how cute are those fingerprints lol, I wouldnt say they were cute if they were all over my desk tho lol.xxx
ReplyDeleteYikes, Cole is showing his creative side early... green Stickles goes great with black! Hopefully it'll come out of the carpet.
ReplyDeleteOh,my! Poor Mama..when she comes to, tell her to get some "Capture". It's a pre-mist and dry carpet cleaner that's awesome! I've had ink on my carpet and it took it right out...not inky little feet prints though. You might give the Staz-on people a call..perhaps they have some ideas.
ReplyDeleteIf only the door could lock...! The spots are now light blue, but the hardest part left to get out somehow, argh.
ReplyDeleteI think, Gwamma Sue, that your arrival was the perfect timing...after all, although it's a horrible mess and blah blah....he was just trying to do what Mommy does, right???!!! Lots of work for Mom though - good luck with the now light blue spots EK!!
ReplyDeleteLooks like Cole is going to be very creative!!

I think he'll be an arty artist , the knid that throw paint from great heights! Aw well...it could've been worse!

Oh my goodness.....! (Sigh) "His poor mama" is right. I can't even imagine finding such a mess. At least she had the presence of mind to take pictures. Someday, a long time from now, they'll look at those and laugh.....probably. Love the touch with the Stickles - very creative. Perhaps I need to get a lock for my room in case Ethan gets any ideas.
ReplyDeleteOh (dear just doesn't seem strong enough somehow!)
ReplyDeleteAs I'm assuming your grandson is still alive, I think your daughter must be a saint. I do think the swirls of stickles show his creative promise though lol!
Sorry ...that brightened my day ...how do little ones create so much mess in a blink of an eye.
ReplyDeleteI still remember a friends 3 year old daughter managing to cover a very bemused long haired cat, in tomatoe sauce, in the time it took us to remove the lunch dishes to the kitchen.
Looks ok to me, but then I have an untidy mind (& workdesk).
ReplyDeleteHi Sue, I'm still trawling through the posts from WOYWW, a mammoth task these days ;-)
ReplyDeleteAnd there was I thinking oh well a lot of our desks look like that when we're in full swing, thinking the black bits were bits of card :-/

ReplyDeleteLooks like someone had so much fun! :)
Ha! I'm so glad mine are older than 2!!!! But actually, this looks a lot like my space!
ReplyDeleteI have a big bottle of alcohol cleaner that I bought some yrs ago to unclog my printer, I now have it on hand incase my little girl gets "artsy" lol.
