WOYW?W and FTL87

He we go with another What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday!  If you get a chance, go check out Julia's fun challenge and meet a fun bunch of girls.
This is how I left my desk before I hurried off to see my grandbabies this week. You can see the sentiment stamps I used on the cards below, the card from the post before and the fun polka dot paper I used on the card I am going to post tomorrow. (a sweet baby girl card). You can see my antique store rummaging as well. Some embroidery floss for a real steal (10 cents each) and a couple really cool old thread spools. Not sure what I am going to do with these but thinking of a cool wall hanging maybe for Christmas. Any idea's?
And oh...my jelly bean jar is almost empty...only two left!

This is my punch storage...or should I say part of my punches! I have a "thing" for punches. I have a dresser below these shelves that holds all my Stampin Up! and misc punches.  I think my ribbon is going to get bumped from this shelf to make room for the rest of my EK and Martha  punches. Now to figure out what to do with the ribbon...I have a whole closet of messy ribbon that I need to do something with. I have outgrown every solution I come up with.

These cards were made using the sketch challenge from the Clean and Simple Stamping FTL 87.
This challenge is harder for me than most, but the first thing I thought of was this Apple sentiment and then the fruity set just sort of happened. I used the Tart and Tangy stamp set from Stampin Up and some wide satin red ribbon from Michaels.  I used SU! markers to color the images and sentiment in red, old olive and choc chip. The apple and berry sentiments are made to go with House Mouse stamps and are made by Stampabilities and the cherry sentiment is a Hampton Art Stamp.

I have made so many new friends through WOYW?W...and one of my new friends (I sort of "encouraged" her to join in) is featuring me on her blog today as well. Stop in and say Hello to Bleubeard and Elizabeth.

Tomorrow I will be posting a super cute Eline Pellinkhof baby girl card, so hope you can stop back and see it. I might even sneak in a few tiny pics of my grandbabies too...

  22. I'm really, really late getting here, but finally made it. Thanks so much for the kind shout out, too.

I love your punch storage area. I don't have those kind of punches, so it wouldn't work for me. I struggle with ribbon storage, and really like yours. And it's all so pretty and colorful, too. Double points! Hope your WOYWW was wonderful.

  35. Your shelving unit looks wonderful and holds a lot more than you might expect when you see these things in a catalogue or wherever.

I do like simple stamping. It is something I do sometimes! Other times, I enjoy putting together a more complex card that is 'just right' for the intended recipient (I hope).

  36. Hi Sue: Thanks for checking out my new craft room! Your creations are beautiful and all your tools--wow! We bought the "legs" for my desk from IKEA, the EXPEDIT shelves with 4 sections. They are cheaper here in Europe right now, but maybe lower prices are headed your way!
