I am in Eugene playing with the new baby and my daughter just wrestled him away from me to show him off to the neighbor...I am traumatized.... Little Luke and I have been browsing the web together this morning so if my comments say "pretty" or "cute"--- keep in mind they were typed with one finger-no capitals or punctuations! LOL I am having great Gwamma time with Cole, Luke and of course their parents too.

I made this mini album for a baby shower gift. I was so tickled to learn from someone at the shower that these were her nursery colors as well...Do you think I can tell her that "I meant to do that"? I am not sure she would believe me LOL!
The new girl baby on the block has such a pretty name...Josephine Berlynn. The top piece on this album/hanging uses her initials as I didn't know what her "nickname" might be (and Josephine was too long to fit). The initials were cut with my cricut and the cute as a button sentiment was computer generated. The journaling block is an Ali Edwards Technique Tuesday clear stamp. I have several of her journaling stamps and have used them so much! They are just great to have for these small albums.
I spent a whole morning painting this darn Maya Road chipboard album pink...not my favorite thing to do I have since realized...
The great DP is from DCWV...very dramatic and fun, don't you think?
I used my nesties to cut different shapes for the matting and embellished with ribbons, punches, baby "stuff" and a small sizzix die envelope for the Tiny Treasures. I also added lots of pink crystals to "bling" things up a bit.
I added lots of little embellishments in the cellophane gift bag for the new mama to add to the pages once she adds her photo's -- as well as to decorate the back of the pages as this is a double sided album.
I hope you enjoyed this mini. I have another super simple mini in mind...one that I can fit into my purse...a proud Gwamma type brag album. Nothing fancy schmancy like the last two I made...but totally a cute idea I found online. I hope to work on that one next week, so keep on the look out for that one in the next week or two!
(Darned if I could get these photo's to view in my blog the correct way...they show just fine in my compose box...it's always "sumthun'")
Album is beautiful, what a treasured gift. And, where are the pictures of those babes? Sounds like everyone is enjoying your visit.

ReplyDeleteWow, girl, you are awesome! What an adorable little picture album. You obviously put lots of time into this and it turned out adorable. So glad you're getting "Gwamma" time. Ethan and I had a rousing game of slam-dunk last night and I thought of you and Cole and how he loves balls like Ethan does. Too bad we couldn't get them together. Maybe someday they'll be on a professional team together - LOL!

ReplyDeleteWell, I was going to say "WOW" but I see Vicki above beat me to it. So all I can say is "WOWEE" -- the only thing that could possibly make this more adorable would be pix of that sweet little Josephine! (You are well rewarded for all your painting -- fab finished project.)
