3 Clovers Thursday Challenge- Snoopy Paper Piecing



This week's challenge at 3 Clovers Thursday Challenge is Paper Piecing. I had such a grand time with this challenge. I made this card, ripped it apart, and then started over again. Another one of those cards that bits and pieces came to me in my sleep. I wasted some darn good cardstock to get the effect I wanted.

I started using a sketch challenge, didn't like that, then didn't like the DP I used so ripped it apart again.

This card was inspired by the work of Michelle B at JustPaintingAround. She creates some of the best scene cards I have ever "scene". You really should go browse her blog...tons of fun cards to see there! She does have some tutorials mixed in her posts on how she creates her scenes (sure wish I would have followed her suggestions as I am sure it would have been much easier that how this little card was born LOL!)

The umbrella and sun as well as the water are all pieced with Stampin Up cardstock or DP. The image was colored with copics.

Now, if only I was sitting on a beach somewhere with Snoopy!

    So cute and fun. Love how you pieced the umbrella but my favorite part are the waves. I'd love to be with Snoopy at the beach myself.

    This is another ahhh card......I feel so at peace when I see this image:) I visualize myself sitting right next to Snoopy with a tall cool drink in my hand and a warm ocean breeze blowing through my hair. SNAP! OK, back to reality....thanks, I needed that:)
    Very cute card even if it did take you more time than you wanted to spend on it! I like your new blog look too!

    Cute as can be! You did a fab job! I love all the red (you prolly knew I would!) I love that you left a red frame around the top portion of the scene and I love all the bright colors! TFS!
