3 Clover's Thursday Challenge #8-Color Challenge
I am home from my Mini Vacation and missing the sunshine of Arizona already. Darn it was nice there! I went down to visit some family for a few days and the weather and the visit was perfecto! Wish I could have stayed longer...isn't that how a vacation always works?
I whipped up this card tonight, after rejecting the first card I made...strange, but this card came to me in a dream...I'll take inspiration wherever it comes from!
The challenge over at Kerry's 3 Clovers Designs Thursday Challenge this week is a color challenge. Use So Saffron, Rose Red and Always Artichoke. Now, I was out of Rose Red so I used Regal Rose. I guess that is as close as I could get on this one!
This turned out to be pretty much a Stampin Up card. I used my new SU! sizzlit named Little Leaves. I used a couple of Paper Shaper punches for the flowers and the centers . I used the ball at the end of my embossing tool to shape the little flowers and the center and then stuck them together with glue dots. I also used some of my new Sweet Slumber Designer DP with the wonderful texture like Parisian Breeze has.
I didn't get this done early enough to submit to Kerry, but make sure to go visit and join in this week's challenge!

Hi Sue, love the pattern of the main panel, the colours work so well together. Joey.x
ReplyDeleteThis is a beautiful card - I wish my dreams were that creative! (mine are usually just odd :) ) Hope you are well - it's been while since I have visited - oh, and I like your blog background! lol Happy Easter!
ReplyDeleteGlad to see you are back, Sue! But I am so sorry that your vacation went so quick...
ReplyDeleteVery pretty card! Glad you could use the die-cute!
Wow this is just gorgeous. Hugs Cindy
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card, Sue. Wondering...which punch did you use for the main flower?
ReplyDeleteDarling Sue.....BTW......I have the dream things too! The lady at punch booth at the rubber stamp convention told me to use the glue bottle cap to dent the punched flowers since it gives a flat surface to put your glue dots on! Use it on a spongy surface. Cool tip, huh?
ReplyDeletethis is gorgeous, love it. hugs rachxx

I think this card is wonderful, and I often dream of card ideas too! Those tiny flowers look so cute on the leaves, and I LOVE how the sentiment panel was placed over the bottom of the image! How did you layer the sentiment diecut? I really like how that looks!

Sue -- this is a great little card--fun and sweet! We often get so caught up with stamps as the focal point and this shows off punches for a change! Super!
ReplyDeleteThis is very pretty Sue!
