Penny Black February Challenge Hang On Tight!

February Mid Way Inspiration

'Anything Goes'

or our optional theme-

Love Is In The Air

Hang On Tight- It'll be alright.

I chose the Anything Goes for my mid-way reminder.
I made this CAS card for my ill S-I-L...I have been making all my cards for her since her cancer diagnosis. It reminds me just how much cheer a snail mail card can bring! I recently received a couple real pretty cards this week that I will share next week...and they were such a wonderful surprise and truly just brought me joy. Thanks to Leslie and Bunny! I will post your wonderful creations soon!

***

I colored this card with copics. I colored the sky blue and then used my blender pen to remove some of the blue to create the delicate clouds in the sky. I stamped the sentiment on the card and dang if it was crooked (and I even used my Misti).  My cover-up was to just add the sentiment to the little banner and glue over the mis-stamped sentiment. Easy way to cover a boo-boo. Inside the sentiment finished with It'll be alright.  The sentiment comes with the stamp!

  3. Cute card. I'm sure your sister in law enjoys getting the snail mail. I remember when one of my aunt's had breast cancer I would send her a card a week. She said she treasured those and it gave her something to look forward to every week. It's really sweet of you to send them to her. [Bunny]

  6. This is such a cute image, a smile card for sure, and I know it had the right effect on your SIL. I always get a special charge out of receiving a handmade card -- it's like opening a gift -- so I like to send them, as well. Hope you're enjoying retirement, Sue!
