Christmas Days with Creations by AR-Day 9

From December 6 to 15, the Creations by AR Design Team will be sharing ideas for presenting holiday gifts using templates from Creations by AR!  Everyday for ten days, our designers will bring inspiration to you with our holiday projects. Join us daily at our FaceBook Page or at our group on Paper Craft Planet.

I am showing you this darling Surprise Purse template today!  I chose some pretty Echo Park DP and added a few festive embellishments to finish it off.  This template has a fun surprise when you open it up-up pops a gift card(or you could attach a piece of candy or picture or whatever makes you jolly!) The sides of this purse are pleated, so there is room to attach something bigger than a gift card if  you like.  I latched the first purse with a magnet, and the second with a round set of velcro. I think the velcro worked the best for this template!

I added a fun little gold bow with bells and a fringy red ribbon handle for the finishing touches. The font I used for the sentiment is Deftone Stylus.  Super Simple!

You can see how the inside card pulls up when you open the purse.

This purse belongs to Mrs. Claus! I won't tell you the whole story behind this card (it took forever to find the white feathers-thanks Erin who drove me all over her town), but I will  say that I had to give that white feathery handle a serious haircut to calm it down LOL!

On this Surprise Purse, I cut the top attached piece a wee bit smaller so more black would show and added a silver belt buckle.  The little shiny holly leaves are from Michaels. The feathers from JoAnn's.
