Curt's Tableau of Terror RAK!

Trick or Treat Everyone!

I received this card card from Curt at Curt's World. Make sure to visit his blog and see his wonderful creations. He made the cutest treat bags for the neighborhood doggies...What a great idea...I know my dog would be ringing his doorbell and barking his " Trick Or Treat" if he thought he could get some of these treats!

Curt used Stampin Up's Tableau of Terror set. I know you can't tell in this pic, but everything about this card is either embossed or 3D. The main stamped image is cut out to include the Halloween moon behind it! This card has tons of layers and dimensionals...an amazing card! Thanks to you Curt...I think we were telepathic huh?

Heidi Halloween RAK

Look at this great RAK I received from my dear stampin' sister Heidi Fleetwood. Oh she makes the cutest fluffle cards. This card has a cool candy corn brad at the top too. Heidi always adds so many elements to her cards...I just keep looking at all the different embellishments and stamps she used on this card. Thanks so much Sissy!

Martha Stewart I Ain't

I am certainly not Martha, but by golly, I had so much fun making her design! I made the "Sue" version of course...I always look at things like this and say to myself "Hmmm...I can make this cheaper than Martha's kit." Well...I don't really remember how much Martha's kit was, but these were pretty cheap to make. I bought the small orange bags, green stem floral tape and green pipe cleaners at the craft store and whipped up a pumpkin patch of these to give to a few special goblins tomorrow night!

I tell ya, I have used this old retired Stampin' Up Fun Faces set so many times! I just think it makes these treat bags. Now, if you go with a more fall theme instead, just leave the faces off. Keep in mind that these will be ripped to shreds in 2 seconds flat...YIKES!

FCCC and TSSC41-Medallion

Oh, I love this card but I think it is one you have to see in real life to appreciate! I used the sketch challenge from Technostamper's Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge #41 but it all started with little Courtney's outfit in From Courtney's Closet Inspiration Challenge #21. Check it out below!

Silly girl

She had some pretty flowery pants on and that's what inspired this whole card. I had some wonderful "flowery" DP that worked it's way into this card. The DP has wonderful silver flowers! I then used this wonderful silver metallic cardstock from SU! and ran a piece through my cuttlebug folder so that a couple of the little birdies showed...gotta get the birdie in there somewhere! If you have never tried SU!'s metallic cardstock, you are missing out!

The medallion was made with various layers of nestability circles and a SU! scallop punch thrown in for good measure. I used a marvy flower punch on the last circle so that some of the silver scallop would show. The brad is a misc one I had in my stash. Lots of layers here! And it also fits in the the Cuttlebug Challenge #5! I think I hit a triple with this card!

Stamps: NONE!

Cardstock: SU cranberry crisp (I think), Taken with Teal, Brushed Silver, DP is Heidi Grace shimmer foiled paper named Midnight Kisses/Mini Foil Floral (goodness what a long name for a piece of paper)

Ink: NONE

Misc: Nesties, SU! scallop punch, Marvy flower punch, misc brad (maybe Memories?), cuttlebug folder, dimensionals

------------------------------------------------------------------------
Look at the right side of my blog and see my new From Courtney's Closet Inspiration Challenge icon...you can just click on it and it will take you into Courtney's Closet! Doesn't this make you grin? Thanks Libby.

Techno Challenge #40- Penny Black Saturday Challenge

This card fits a couple challenges this week. The card design is from TechnoStamper's Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge and the image fits the Penny Black Saturday Bump in the Night Challenge.

But...the best part of this card is the wonderful gifty that Libby from Libby's Little Addiction sent me. She sent all kinds of Halloween goodies to play with AND a Libby "original"! (I will post her card soon!) How lucky can a girl get. Libby sent this wonderful, soft spider web border type ribbon that I cut a piece off of and mounted on a circle punch and then added a bunch of the Halloween crystals she sent too! The striped DP and ribbon were part of her gift too! I have had so much fun with this stuff Libby...many thanks!

Stamps: Penny Black Apprentice 3716K

Cardstock: Black, Libby's DP gifty paper

Ink: I colored this with SU! markers and didn't like the lines so I colored over most of it with my prisma's, outlined it with one of my 3 copic markers LOL!

Misc: Fun embellishments from Libby, nestabilities

From Courtney's Closet Challenge #20-Cupcake

Does this look like your neighbor lady?

This cutie is really holding a cup of coffee, I just hid it with a cupcake(I made myself) on pop dots.

oooh scary...trick or treat!

Wow, week #20 already...and Courtney is growing up before our eyes. You can see this week's challenge on Libby's Little Addiction here.
You should go and check out week one sometime and see how she has grown. I started joining this challenge I think in week 3, so I have been 'around' for a while too!

Now, this card is not very 'babyish' for sure, but it is just what came to me this week! Weird, I know.........(FYI-Courtney was nicknamed "cupcake" before she was born).

Stamps: Super Maude by Art Impressions (this is my fave stamp ever!), sentiment is computer generated and flowers are SU! Window is unknown(my daughter stamped this for me)

Cardstock: Plum, Pink, Close to Cocoa, Wal-Mart white

Ink: Black, colored with prisma's, flowers colored with SU! markers

Weekend Sketch Challenge #62- PB Halloween

This was a fast and easy challenge. I have been trying to get to this PB stamp before Halloween is over and this stamp fit so well with Beate's Challenge here.

The little owl and the little peeking green bird are 3D also. I used my Martha slime and bat punches.

There is a story to this card...but in the end, the trick to this card is that it opens backwards! (it didn't start out this way LOL) I decided to change the papers around after I had already adhered them, so instead of wasting the messed up black card stock, I decided to make the card opening the wrong way and use the TRICKS sentiment.

Stamps:Penny Black night things 3714H, Studio G sentiment

Cardstock: Black, All Debbee Mumm DP

Ink: Black and Prisma pencils

Misc: Circle Nesties, Martha Punches

Cole and Gwamma at the Pumpkin Patch!

I think I can pick this one up Gwamma!

Gwamma and Cole

Look at all these punkins Gwamma!

Mama and Cole eating some of Shelly's apple pie at the Hood River Harvest Festival...YUMMY!

Cole signs "MORE" apple pie!

His day care provider is teaching him sign language...Cole definitely knows the "more" sign the best LOL.
Cole watching the windsurfers on the Columbia River in Hood River, Oregon.
It was so windy down by the river Cole had to bundle up and put on his froggy hat!

Acting silly at the pumpkin patch!

Ohhhh...the weekend went by too fast for Gwamma. Cole and my daughter Erin, as well as Aunty Abby all went to the Harvest Fest and Pumpkin Patch and then just visited and played fetch with the doggy the rest of the time! He is such a sweet natured little guy, just wanting to play and share whatever anyone is eating. He used his sign language on everyone now that he knows we all understand! too funny.....and oh so sweet!

I made this card a while back for my stamping soul sister Heidi. We chat about stamping, life and grandbabies...we especially love to tell grandbaby stories! Heidi is so inspirational to me. I just love her style...and her cards make me laugh...the best kind! She is quite a character. Visit her blog when you have time to browse...she makes "good stuff"!

This card was actually made with a sketch by Julee for her Anni-Verve-sary back in August. You can find all the sketches here...I am still making my way through her sketches...but she just keeps putting out more...she can really do up a sketch I tell ya!

I don't think you can tell, but I made this for some paper piecing challenge...and didnt post back then...their clothes are pieced. I would have to pick an image with little tinnnny pieces..goodness what a pain. LOL

Can you believe it??? I actually got this House Mouse and Friends Monday challenge card done before the end of the week! The challenge this week was a Halloween card.

I absolutely love this Debbee Mumm Halloween DP, so I tried to use a smaller image so that I could show off the DP too. I masked the stamp Monster Mouse and only used one mouse. This DP paper is full of glitter images, but it is hard to tell from this picture.

House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge! Pumpkin Pie

A quick card(Ha) for the challenge...hope it is on time. I used my New House Mouse of the Month stamp and sentiment.

It only took me oh....I don't know how long to figure out the correct dimensions of this card so that the message tag would be hidden underneath...I put it all together once and the "T" was hanging out...my my my can't have that!

I finally pulled it all apart and started with a new mechanism and made it work! Whew!

Image is colored with prisma's, sentiment is colored with SU! markers. I had these cute little paper shaper punches that worked so well with this neat Debbee Mumm DP! I just noticed that the pumpkin pies looking like they are flying! HA!

SCS OR/WA Shoebox Swap October 4th, 2008

Good morning everyone! Here are the cards from the SCS Shoebox swap I attended yesterday. I don't know what blogger is doing this morning...I see it published my first draft...and it was still in draft...go "figger"

I have listed the names below the cards that I know who created them and am hoping to find out all of them soon ---I will edit when I do.

We had a great day of stamping and snacking. Debby and her handy assistant daughter did a great job organizing the whole day! Fun friends and stamping. I had already "met" Judy and Cindy through some image swaps and had emailed Michelle about our local ties to Fossil Oregon so it was nice to meet them in person! I had met Heidi at last years shoebox swap. Heidi was so nice to share some of her ribbon with us all from her PinkHedgeHog Papercrafts site here.

And Kelly...what a kick...wish we could have stayed for the "refreshments" Hope your trip home was not toooooo long...You can view her blog here.
