From Courtney's Closet Challenge #10 Remember Moments

We remember moments

Sweet Little Courtney

Oh Libby's Little Addiction Inspiration Challenge From Courtney's Closet is on week TEN! It is really starting to catch on and I am so amazed at the many different cards that are the inspired by this challenge. I loved looking at all of last week's cards. You can see her challenge post here.

I am still focusing on my goal to use stamps that I have gotten and have remained uninked. I used TWO new ones on this card.

For this card I chose a sentiment stamp as the focus and the background DP as the 'fabric' of the card.

The Penny Black sentiment stamps says "We do not remember days...We remember moments"
(a quote from Cesare Pavese) I bet Libby will always remember the moment Courtney sat up all by herself, the moment she first crawls, the moment she first says mama or dada...all those first moments to come!

The background paper is from Stampin Up and I put all the brown flower centers in with my chocolate chip marker...gotta match Courtney's dress you know!

Stamps: Penny Black Sentiment 2668H ...moments..., Stampin Up Label Classics

Cardstock: Chocolate Chip, DP from SU prints sampler, GP White

Ink: Chocolate Chip

Misc: Martha Stewart scallop edge punch (I love this punch!), SU choc chip ribbon, dimensionals

My First Starbucks with GWAMMA!

Here is Gwamma giving me my first
taste of Vanilla Bean Blended Cream
from Starbucks! (Gwamma doesn't like coffee so she had a vanilla slushy)

I think that is pretty good stuff...in
fact, I thought I should have the whole cup to myself! (but first I had to stop and play peek-a-boo with a wipey...always time to play!

Mary Engelbreit Nestability Card

I made this card with a stamp I bought for $1 at a garage sale! What a deal! It had never seen ink!

I colored this image with prisma's and gamsol. I used my classic circle nestabilites to cut all the layers as well as putting the yellow layer through the swiss dots cuttlebug folder. I added black and white ribbon at the top. I also highlighted with my abalone grey radiant pearls. Oh and I added white dots with my white pen.

Heidi's Surprise Slider RAK

Isn't this prettttttttttyyyyyyy? My Stamping Soul Sister Heidi sent it to me! I have never met Heidi, but when it comes to stamping or grandbabies, we really connect, right Heidi?

Heidi's work is so fine, I am always amazed.

This was a surprise slider card with the inside sentiment as a pull out piece. The colors are so pretty IRL as well as the silver shimmer she added to the flowers and little butterflies. You can the detail in the close up pic.

Again, Heidi keeps me going during harvest with her wonderful emails and cards! I am so thankful for her friendship!

And wait until you see what she just sent me this week............

From Courtney's Closet Challenge Ducky #9

Sweet Courtney!

Yes I think this is Libby's Little Addiction 9th challenge week, and the 7th that I have joined in. I missed the first two...where was I? I think I was just getting brave enough to jump into any challenge! This stuff can be addicting. You can check out this week's From Courtney's Closet Challenge here. I have a label on the left of my blog if you want to view all of Courtney's Closet LOL.

This card uses an OLD Stampin Up set named Mini Medleys...one of the first sets I ever bought from SUp!! I am a stamp packrat...

Also, I have been inspired to get out an old unmounted quilt block set I bought many years ago at Auntie Amy's Unmounted Stamping Convention in Portland, Oregon (remember the good ole days?). I bought it before I realized the importance of documenting the stamping company where I purchased it from. I have bought numerous stamps from this company and if I hear the name I will recognize it! duh! I miss the days of the BIG unmounted conventions...do you think they will make a comeback? I'm keeping my inky fingers crossed!

Doesn't this quilt block remind you of the new Papertrey set that was just released.? I have seen beautiful cards made with their quilt blocks!

The duckies and the sentiment are popped up on dimensionals.

Stamps: Stampin Up retired Mini Medley, SU Circle of Friendship sentiment, Misc quilt block stamp

Cardstock: yoyo yellow, brilliant blue, GP white

Ink: brilliant blue sentiment, blocks colored with prisma's, ducks with yy yellow and orange beak.

Misc: Cuttlebug bubbles embossing folder, yellow flower brads, every SU circle punch from 1 3/8 down to 1/2 inch size, dimensionals, paper piercer

Eileen's Cuttlebug and Scorepal Envelope RAK

I hope you enjoy these picture's of Eileen's 4th of July RAK! I thought is was pretty cool! Eileen and I go way back to the original Yahoo House Mouse group! It truly is amazing to have such great stamping friends all over the world!

I have a group of stampers that I have labeled "Blog Girls". They are a group of stampers or friends that I have sent links of fun blog projects that I find when I am surfing blogs.. I have been doing this for almost a year. This is one I had sent out and Eileen made me a card off of this link.

I asked her to help me find the link and it ended up being pretty easy after she told me that I labeled the link "Envelope Thingy". Pretty descriptive huh?

The original designer is Rachelle Funk of The Ink Boutique.

I love all the extra's that Eileen added with the cuttlebug and scorepal embossing.

Thanks Eileen! I owe you one!

From Courtney's Closet Challenge Lady Bug

I have had this card in my head for a long time! Little Courtney must have known it!
Side view
Close up
Little Courtney's Ladybug bum!

I made this card for my challenge card on the weekly From Courtney's Closet Challenge. You can see Mama Libby's challenge here.

Courtney's Grandma is getting into the swing of things by buying outfits that we can design cards around LOL...I can totally relate! (Hey Melissa...you should try some scrap pages like this with Cassidy...I know she is a spiffy little dresser too)

I had a good time making this card, although certain aspects were definitely trial and error. I won't show you how much I threw away until I got it "just right"!

I cut the black card card base with folded cardstock and a nestability using the largest plain circle in one of the sets. The red scalloped "wings" are cut from the largest scalloped nestie and then ran through the swiss dot cuttlebug folder and then cut in half. (yes, I love that folder) I had to use my SU marker to dot each embossed dot...I tried numerous times to GENTLY ink them up with a stamp pad...I just couldn't get it to look right without getting a big blotch someplace. The head is the SU 1 3/8 inch circle punch. I punched two black circle pieces and then glued the antennae in the middle of the head pieces. (I tried adding google eyes, but it looked BAD)

I made the antennae by cutting slivers of black paper with my Creative Memory small trimmer(couldn't live without this!) and then I wound the paper around the tip of my paper piercer to get the little curl.

I attached the wings with a red heart brad to the head, and then attached the head with red sticky tape to the cardbase. The wings can FLAP! I love that part...hehe...again I love cards that move!!

Cut white plain circle inside for a spot to write a message.

Oh I forgot...I stamped the black base card with a retired polka dot background stamp.

Stamps: Retired SU polka dot background stamp

Cardstock: SU black, white(inside of card) real red

Ink: Black marker

Misc: swissdot cuttlebug folder, nesties-both plain and scalloped, misc heart brad, misc Michaels polka dot ribbon, metal heart embellishment, misc tiny pink flowers, glue dots and sticky strip.

I also got a couple of other RAK's photographed and edited tonight! I will soon be posting cards from Heidi(you all know my Stamping Soul Sister) and Eileen- a long time House Mouse stamping Sister from my Yahoo House Mouse Group.

Love Your Bug!

I was out for a walk the other day and a little red VW car pulled over beside me. It was my cousin and she was showing off her brand new red bug car. Stamps: GR 1097 Driving Woodstock bought at hmstamps.com., sentiment computer generated

Cardstock: real red, yoyo yellow, basic black, wallmart white (GP)

Misc: Colored with prismas, misc ribbon from michaels, big flower punch, 1/2 circle punch and a brad, sky made with blue chalk, cuttlebug folder for flower

Heidi's tool belt card!

Thanks heavens for Heidi girl...she keeps me going with inspiration during this very strange cherry harvest! Not much stamping going on here in Oregon right now...so thank heavens that Heidi has chosen to spoil me during tharvest..and guess what...I got ANOTHER card in the mail today! WOO HOOO...wait until you see this one!

There is so much detail on this card...the little front pocket has a ruler and a carpenter's pencil...paper piercing separates the pockets...it looks like real stitching. The tag holding the hammer slides along the brown strip at the top.

The top picture you are seeing is with the saying pulled out...but it does not intially show when you open the card. It says.."Men have their toys...." and "We have ours!" I love this inside image and Heidi colored it in so much detail...she used like a million colors.

This is such a great card...love all the tools, brads and pull out too...I love cards that move LOL.

Thanks again to Heidi...The Queen of Cherry Harvest in my eyes...
